# Accounts and access
> How roles, organizations, teams, and athlete permissions work.
# Accounts and access
ProspectHQ separates public profiles from secure management workspaces.
## Organization owners and administrators
Owners and administrators can manage organization settings, teams, staff access, and subscription features available to their plan.
## Coaches and team managers
Coaches and team managers can access only the organizations and teams they have been invited to manage.
## Athletes and guardians
Athletes and guardians control the profiles they manage. They can set profile visibility and choose which development sections appear publicly.
## Public website staff
Organization and team websites may display staff biographies. These entries are public content only. They do not create a ProspectHQ login, consume a membership seat, or grant management permissions.
## Invitations
Use invitations instead of shared credentials. An invitation connects the recipient's account to the correct organization, team, or athlete profile after acceptance.

| --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Organization member | Access based on the organization role |
| Team coach or manager | Access to the assigned team and supported team/player management tools |
| Athlete | Access to the invited athlete profile |
| Guardian | Access to the invited profile or profiles under their care |
Do not share account credentials. Invite each manager or guardian using their own email address so permissions remain clear and auditable.
