# Frequently asked questions

## Account and login

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I log in?">
    Open [prospecthq.app](https://prospecthq.app), choose **Sign in**, and use the email address connected to your account or invitation. Complete any verification step shown by the secure sign-in provider. After signing in, organization members are directed to an available workspace; individual athletes can open **My athlete profile**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I signed in but cannot see my organization or team. What should I do?">
    Confirm you used the same email address that received the invitation and that you accepted it. Organization membership and team assignment are separate, so an administrator may also need to add you to the specific team.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can several coaches share one login?">
    No. Invite each coach or manager with their own email address. Individual accounts keep permissions and changes clear and auditable.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is the difference between a team member and a staff biography?">
    A team member has a signed-in account and management permissions. A staff biography is website content only and does not grant access.
  </Accordion>

## Plans, upgrades, and billing

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I upgrade my account?">
    For an organization, select the correct organization and open **Billing**. Choose an eligible plan and complete checkout. For an individual athlete, open the individual plan or upgrade option shown in the account. Return to ProspectHQ and refresh after checkout.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does my upgraded organization still show the previous plan or read-only access?">
    First confirm the purchase was made for the organization, not only the individual user. Check that the correct organization is active, then refresh **Billing** and **Overview**. Billing synchronization may take a short time. If the status remains wrong, contact support with the organization name, expected plan, checkout time, and receipt reference.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I manage my membership?">
    Open **Billing** to review the plan, update payment details, switch plans or billing periods, or cancel. Only authorized organization owners or administrators can manage organization billing.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I cancel anytime?">
    Yes. Use the cancellation option in Billing. Access normally continues through the current paid or trial period. After that, records are retained in read-only mode and editing and AI tools pause.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Will ProspectHQ delete our data when a subscription ends?">
    Ending a paid plan does not automatically delete the retained organization record. The workspace becomes read-only. Authorized deletion requests and profile controls remain subject to ProspectHQ policies and terms.
  </Accordion>

## Editing player and team information

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I edit statistics as a coach?">
    Open the organization, select the player, choose **Manage Player**, and open **Games**, **Season / tournament totals**, or the corresponding golf section. Edit an existing saved record or add verified values manually. Team game details can also be edited from **Team → Game records**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I edit data as a player or guardian?">
    Open the player you manage and choose **Manage Player**. Available tools depend on your relationship to the profile and plan. You can update supported profile details, privacy settings, manual data, imports, and other features made available to your account.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I edit a game's opponent, date, or score?">
    Open the team or player **Game records**, find the completed game, and choose **Edit game**. Game details are separate from **Player stats**, which uses Hitting, Pitching, and Fielding sections.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I remove a duplicate season or import?">
    Open the player's saved season history or the team's import-management area. Confirm which record is the duplicate, then use the available delete or remove-import action. Review linked player statistics before confirming because removing an import can remove its linked data.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="If a player leaves a team, is the player's development data deleted?">
    No. Removing or deactivating a team roster membership does not automatically delete the player's long-term profile. The team association and public roster visibility change, while the authorized player record is retained.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## GameChanger imports

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I import an individual player's game statistics from GameChanger?">
    Open the player, choose **Manage Player → Games**, and use the GameChanger completed-game import. Select the statistic table shown in the source—Hitting, Hitting — advanced, Pitching, Pitching — advanced, or the matching fielding table—then choose official box-score PDFs or player Stats-page screenshots. Preview each dated row, correct uncertain details, review duplicates, and import.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I import team season statistics from GameChanger?">
    Export the official team statistics CSV from GameChanger using an authorized staff account. In ProspectHQ, open the team roster and expand **Import GameChanger roster and season CSV**. Upload the CSV, preview the rows, map each GameChanger identity to an existing or new player, and import the selected players and season totals.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is the difference between a season CSV and a completed-game PDF?">
    A team statistics CSV contains aggregate season totals and can help build or update the roster. A completed-game box-score PDF contains one game's score and player lines. Game-by-game data supports trends that a season total alone cannot provide.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I upload multiple completed games at once?">
    Yes, where the team batch importer is available. It supports up to 126 official box-score PDFs. Preview the batch, reuse confirmed player mappings across the games, and resolve duplicate warnings before importing.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does ProspectHQ ask me to map players?">
    Names and jersey numbers may differ between systems. Mapping lets an authorized user confirm which GameChanger identity belongs to which ProspectHQ profile and prevents statistics from being attached to the wrong athlete.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does ProspectHQ need my GameChanger password?">
    No. Use exports, PDFs, screenshots, links, or supported public widgets from accounts you are authorized to access. ProspectHQ does not ask for or store a GameChanger password.
  </Accordion>

## Public pages, privacy, and recruiting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I choose what appears on a player's public page?">
    Open **Manage Player**, choose the overall profile visibility, and enable or disable supported public sections. Preview the public page before sharing it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why is a player missing from a public team roster?">
    Confirm the player is active for that team, the profile allows publication, and the roster or athletes module is public on the team page.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What does Recruit Mode add?">
    Recruit Mode emphasizes graduation year, school, GPA, positions, awards, top verified statistics and trends, highlights, and recruiting actions such as message, share, and PDF resume. The athlete or guardian still controls supported visibility settings.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I share a public page?">
    Use **Share public link** or the circular share action on supported public pages. ProspectHQ shares the SEO-friendly player, team, or organization URL when one is configured.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Images, video, and AI tools

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I improve a low-resolution logo?">
    In the organization or team page editor, choose the logo and select **Enhance with AI** where available. The tool is instructed to upscale and sharpen the exact logo and remove the background without redesigning it. Review the result before publishing.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why can I not use an AI feature?">
    AI access depends on the plan, trial status, monthly or billing-period credit allowance, and server configuration. The interface should show an upgrade prompt or remaining credits when applicable.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who can see uploaded videos?">
    Video visibility depends on profile or page permissions, membership access, and the section's public-sharing settings. Review the public page after changing video or section visibility.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>
